Dracaena propagation methods are mainly cutting and seeding, and the mother plant can be propagated by cutting when it grows for about 3 years. Cut the healthy branches of the mother plant, soak them and then dry them, rub rooting water on the cut, and insert the cuttings in pots or vases with water. Sowing propagation of Dracaena are generally in early spring, seeds are planted in loose and breathable soil, watered appropriately, and covered with film.
Dracaena's propagation method is cutting propagation and sowing propagation. In the case of fewer seeds, we can carry out cutting propagation. When Dracaena grew for about 3 ~ 4 years, in the summer rainy weather, with sterilized scissors, cut the mother plant healthy disease-free branches, the length of about 15 cm. Soak the cut branches in clear water for a while.
Put the soaked branches in the shade to dry, and rub some rooting water on the incision for cuttings. We can choose a bit smaller flowerpot and loose breathable soil, flowerpot and soil need to be disinfected. 1 plant 1 pot. After the successful cuttage, we need to water the branch 1 time, watering thoroughly, which can make the branch adapt to the soil, taking root quickly.
We need to pay attention to the temperature. Dracaena likes temperature, and high temperature can make the cuttings take root quickly. If the Dracaena branch of water culture, we need to change water regularly. In summer generally water once every 3 days to 5 days. In spring and autumn, water once every 7 days or so. In the vase, it should be the right amount of added nutrients, conducive to the root and growth of branches.
Sowing propagation of Dracaena can be carried out between February and March in spring, and the land with sufficient light, loose, breathable and good drainage performance can be selected. Before planting, turn over the ground, select the excellent Dracaena seed, and sow it in the soil, the depth is about 1 ~ 2 cm. After the seeds have been sown, cover them with a layer of soil and water them properly. After sowing, it can be covered with a layer of plastic film, and can accelerate the germination of seeds.
