Houttuynia Cordata's planting method

1. Propagation: The propagation methods of Houttuynia Cordata can be divided into seed propagation, root propagation and plant separation propagation. Because the germination rate of seeds is not high, the germination rate is suitable for the temperature change of 17 ~ 25℃, while the germination rate is only about 20 {bf}, the root propagation is generally adopted.

2. Planting: Dig out the roots of the old Houttuynia Cordata seedlings in the spring, select white and strong roots and cut them into each section of 5-10cm long, and make sure there are 3 ~ 4 sections in each section. Plant the seeds in rows of holes 20cm×20cm apart, lay the seeds flat in the trench and cover the soil for 3 ~ 4cm, gently press and water to keep the soil moist, and new shoots will be produced after 1 week. The mother plants were excavated in late April, divided into several small plants and planted according to the above method.

3. Environmental requirements:

(1) Land: the plot of loam or sandy loam with flat terrain, sufficient water source, convenient drainage and irrigation, deep surface layer, suitable soil structure, good physical and chemical properties, and moderate fertility is selected.

(2) Fertilizer: before planting, apply sufficient base fertilizer, mainly nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, with a ratio of 1:1:5 as the best, and apply urea timely during the growth period of Houttuynia Cordata.

(3) Water: During the whole growth period of Houttuynia Cordata, irrigation and drainage should be carried out in a timely manner to keep the soil moist and the ridges free from water. As a wet-loving and waterlogging tolerant crop, it is more suitable to keep 75 {bf} -80 {bf} moisture in the soil for planting Brecta.

(4) Temperature: The root of Houttuynia Cordata can grow normally between 12℃ and 30℃, but the optimal temperature is 15℃ to 20℃, under which the root can grow rapidly.

(5) Illumination: Due to the characteristics of Houttuynia Cordata itself, the illumination requirements of Houttuynia Cordata are not strict. The light is weak, and it grows well in a dark environment.
