It has strong drought resistance and no cold resistance. The whole grass into medicine, has the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying, detumescence and disease.

Growing methods of Wood sorrels

Safflower Wood sorrels are perennial herbaceous flowers. They are fond of sunny and humid climates and are not hardy to cold. In North China, they need to live indoors in winter. The soil requirements are not strict, but in loose, fertile and smooth drainage of sandy soil growth exuberant.

Safflower Wood sorrels are generally combined and repot in early April, and are bred by branching. The growing method is simple, the growth period often keeps the basin soil moist, pay attention to the appropriate water in summer, in order to increase the air humidity. Every half a month or so topdressing a thin cake fertilizer water, that can flower fanyemao.

In North China, the plants were moved indoors and placed in a sunny place in early and middle October. In winter control watering, pot soil is too wet, easy root rot, stop fertilization, room temperature is kept above 6℃ and can be safe over the winter.

Wood sorrels propagation methods

Wood sorrels propagate mainly from bulbs and branches, but also from seeds. The conjoined stems of Wood sorrels can be divided into mother corm, bud corm and leaf corm. Among the three kinds of corms, the mother corm has the ability of direct meristem, with the diameter of 2 ~ 2.5cm, and has residual leaf marks. In the leaf marks, there are latent buds, which can germinate and grow into corms successively. Bud corm is a small bulb growing on the mother corm, the diameter of the sphere is about 0.5 ~ 0.8cm. A leaf corm is a leafed corm that grows from a bud corm and produces leaves. Wood sorrels can blossom, about 1.2 ~ 1.5cm, and become a mother corm when it grows and develops. According to the experiment, the propagation coefficient of a single corm is high, and about 15 ~ 17 corms can be obtained on average for each single corm. The survival rate of female corm and leaf corn was similar in the open field, but the reproductive coefficient of leaf corn was the highest.
