Ten taboos of cultivator
At present, the use of cultivators for plowing is basically popular among farmers, but due to the lack of necessary mechanical knowledge, improper use and maintenance of cultivating machines have caused many unnecessary economic losses. For this reason, farmers friends must remember the ten taboos.
 Cultivator

1. Avoid full load operation of the new cultivators.

Because the new tillage machine is generally not fully run-in before leaving the factory, there is also a certain deviation in the assembly process, coupled with the influence of factors such as the surface finish of the parts, so that the contact surfaces cannot reach the best condition. For this reason, low-grade, low-throttle, and small load should be used for running-in for more than 24 hours, and then maintenance such as replacing lubricating oil and cleaning oil passages should be carried out. You’d better extend the service life of the machine.

2. Avoid climbing the ridge quickly.

Due to the resistance encountered by the cultivator and the uneven quality of the ridge soil, the resistance between the two wheels is different, which cannot ensure the synchronization of the two wheels, which is prone to accidents. The correct method should be to pass the low gear and slow throttle in a balanced way. If the ridge is too high, someone must cover it. You could use a rope to tie the front bumper to protect it.

3. Avoid high throttle starting.

Many agricultural operators of cultivators are accustomed to start diesel engines with more fuel, but because the fuel injected into the cylinder is too much and the mixture is too rich, it is difficult to start, and the combustion is not complete and it is easy to produce carbon deposits. The correct method should be: when the temperature is higher than 15°C, it is slightly higher than the idle speed, and when the temperature is lower than 15°C, you should close the throttle and idle the crankshaft until you feel relaxed, and then start with a small throttle.

4. Avoid open flame to assist starting.

In winter, it is relatively difficult to start due to low temperatures, especially for diesel engines with poor performance. It is very dangerous for some operators to remove the air filter and use the open flame to inhale to assist the start. This will easily suck the debris into the cylinder and cause unnecessary cultivators damage.

5. Avoid hitting the throttle.

Some pilots are used to hitting the throttle after starting, which is a bad phenomenon. Due to the high and low speed, uneven mixing of fuel and air, poor combustion, and carbon deposits, it is easy to cause the valve to close tightly and the fuel injector to jam.

6. Avoid adding unclean cooling water.

Since the tillage cultivators generally work in the field, some operators take water near the field, but ignore the muddy cement, which deposits in the water tank, tank and waterway, forming scale, causing poor heat dissipation and high temperature. You’d better reduce operating efficiency.

7. Avoid suddenly adding cold water to the water tank "boiling".

Due to lack of water or overloading of the water tank, the water tank will boil. If the cold water is suddenly added, the temperature difference is too large, and it is easy to cause the cylinder liner, cylinder block and cylinder head to deform or even crack. The correct method is to add water after the engine of cultivators has cooled down naturally to prevent accidents.

8. Avoid replacing lubricating oil without cleaning the oil passage.

Many agricultural machinery operators lack common sense of maintenance and do not clean the oil passages when changing the lubricant. After the lubricating oil is used, there are many mechanical impurities in the oil, especially the new machine or the trial operation after the overhaul. If the new oil is put into use without cleaning, it will aggravate the mechanical parts wear and even burn the tiles. The correct method is: first you should add an appropriate amount of diesel oil, close the throttle, and slowly shake the crankshaft for about 10 minutes, then you could release the diesel oil, and then add new lubricating oil and put it into use.

9. Avoid substitution of engine oil and gear oil.

Due to the lack of understanding of oil products by some operators, the oil products stored at home cannot be used simultaneously, and the phenomenon of alternate substitution of engine oil of cultivators and gear oil sometimes occurs. Because the viscosity and flash point of engine oil and gear oil are different, the properties of use are also different. Engine oil is suitable for the lubrication of high-temperature and high-speed parts, and gear oil is suitable for the lubrication of low-temperature and low-speed parts.

10. Avoid working without an empty filter element.

The air filter element is broken, there are no spare parts at home and the work is busy. This phenomenon occurs from time to time, which is wrong. When a diesel engine of cultivators burns 1kg of fuel, about 14kg of air needs to be inhaled, and the dust content of the positive air is 15.2g/m3. As the unclean air is sucked into the cylinder, it will accelerate the wear of pistons, cylinder liners and other parts. Farming machines generally work in the field, and the working environment is worse, and the air contains more dust, so farmers should pay attention.
