Seed treatment

Collection and treatment: Select the mother trees with more than 15 years of age, vigorous growth, robust development, and no pests and diseases. Collect in batches when the fruit is purplish black, and the sowing time is from September to October. After collecting the fruits, wash the skins and flesh, float the empty seeds, take out the full seeds that sink in the bottom layer, spread them out in the ventilated and cool place to dry, and inspect the dried seeds in accordance with the "Forestry Seed Inspection Regulations".

Seed storage: Wet sand storage of seeds should be carried out if sowing cannot be carried out in time. Mix the seeds with clean river sand and put them in a clean, cool place. The humidity of sand should be formed into a group by hand and loosened by hand. The amount of sand should be 2-3 times of the seed volume. The storage time should not exceed 180 days.

Seeding method

Sowing time: Sowing seedlings, with the picking and sowing, autumn sowing should be in late September to October.

Nursery bed seeding: The fertile sandy loam or loam plot which has convenient transportation, leeward to the sun, good drainage and irrigation is chosen as a nursery site. The pH value of the soil is 5.0-7.0, and the maximum water table is not more than 1 meter. About 1000 kg of soil was fertilized in nursery soil, and 15 days before sowing, 15 kg of hydrated lime per mu and 2 kg of 90% crystal photinia were ploughed into ground. Build seedbed, width 1 meter, height 20-30 centimeters, length not more than 20 meters, seedbed between leaves 30 centimeters wide working passage. For unsanded seeds, immerse the seeds in 0.3% formalin solution for 30 minutes before sowing, then pour out the excess liquid, seal the seeds for 2 hours, rinse the seeds with water, and then soak the seeds in water for 24 hours. Before sowing, the seedbed will be permeable, open furrow seeding. After being stored in sand, seeds with white cracks were planted directly, with rows 20-25cm apart, rows 5-7cm apart, and soil thickness 1.5-2cm. After sowing, the seeds were soaked through and covered with straw to protect moisture. Spray the water to keep the bed moist. After 20-30 days of sowing, the seeds germinated and 1/3 of the seeds were unearthed, the grass was uncovered 2-3 times in the evening or cloudy days, and then a shading network with a shading rate of 70% was set up. When seedlings come out of true leaves, apply a 0.2% compound fertilizer solution.
