Crypt Wendtii Profile

It is an adaptable aquatic plant with brown or red petioles. In an aquarium, the blade becomes long and narrow, about 12 to 15CM, and emerald green. The leaves vary from bright green to reddish brown varying from water quality and light. Crypt Wendtii is an easy plant for beginners to grow aquatic plants, and it prefers an abundant substrate, meanwhile too much iron can cause leaf loss.

A variety of species and numerous forms of variable taxonomic status have been discussed, for example Tropica. Some may be real varieties and certainly some form is named after the river that is found in Sri Lanka.

Crypt Wendtii growth habit and growing environment and distribution

Crypt Wendtii is the green form of P. Wendy. Its ecological habits are almost the same apart from that the leaf color is different from that of its parent species. Even under the environment of strong light, the leaf color may turn from green to brown, so it is often regarded as the parent species by mistake. Crypt Wendtii is cultivated in the same way as P. Wendy has the same particular need for calcium, so it may prefer living in the hard water to living in the soft water. Of course, it's easier to adapt to the environment than Wenty and easy to grow, it can be grown without carbon dioxide, and it grows faster and healthier. Besides, adding too much iron may inhibit its growth, so iron fertilizer should not be added properly. Crypt Wendtii is best done by cutting old leaves before planting to stop them from consuming energy, and make sure that new plants will grow faster and avoid getting the disease.

Crypt Wendtii cultivation

Cryptocoryne wendtii is an extraordinarily hardy plant, and it will still live under low lighting and so will it in both soft and hard water conditions. It is an excellent plant for both experienced and beginner aquarists with no experience because it is so easy to grow, and it can also be easily cultivated into stunning displays in experienced lovers.
The plant itself must be planted directly into the substrate, and forms deep roots that make this plant difficult to uproot. This makes it an excellent plant if you’re hunting for a plant that can exist with the attention of notorious diggers. Feeders should keep it in mind that it had better be regularly fertilized in your daily life.
