How to grow and care for Coral Tree

When we care for Coral trees, the minimum daily light time should be no less than 5 hours during the growth period, and the temperature should be controlled at about 20-28 ℃. Shading treatment should be carried out when the temperature is higher than 35℃. In ordinary times, the substrate should be kept moist and the watering should be controlled when the autumn comes. The following are care for growing Coral Trees.

1. Environmental care for growing Coral Tree

Coral Tree likes to grow under sufficient sunshine and has strong shade resistance, high temperature resistance and cold resistance. During the growth period, the light given to it should not be less than 5 hours a day, and the suitable temperature for its growth is around 20 ~ 28℃. However, in summer, when the temperature is higher than 35℃, it should be shaded or moved to a ventilated place to avoid being burned by high temperature.

2. Moisture care for growing Coral Tree

Coral Tree is a common hydrophilic flower plant. In the growing season, the soil should always be kept moist, but not excessively waterlogged. In summer, the amount of water should be increased, and the leaves can be appropriately moisturized by spraying water.

3. Fertilizing care

Fertilizer environment is one of the important keys when we care for Coral Trees. Coral trees are fattening plants, which can be fertilized every half a month during their growth, mainly with thin liquid fertilizer. During the flowering period, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be given once or twice, and fertilization can be stopped in autumn.

4. Trim care

Coral trees should be properly pruned during their growth period to promote their flowering effect. Dead branches and disinfected and insect branches can be cut off in spring. The thicker branches should be cut short to promote the germination of branches, and the more dense branches should be thinned to promote the concentration of nutrients.

5. Basin soil care

Coral Tree is a large flower plant. With the growth of the plant, it is best to be properly repot. Generally, the new pot should be repot every 2 to 3 years.

6. Coral Tree care for disease and insect prevention

Common diseases of Coral Tree mainly include root rot, blight, anthrax and aphids, etc. When the disease occurs, the disordered plant can be cut down and then sprayed with corresponding Bordeaux liquid or oxidize dimethoate solution for prevention and control, and the air circulation should be often strengthened.
